BECO Helps Turn the Final Match Into a Celebration of Business, Culture, and Community
The Black Eco Chamber proudly joined Brave New World and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce to bring The Final Match Watch Party to the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center and Town Square Park.
With more than 400 people in attendance, the event transformed the final match into a dynamic public celebration of sports, music, culture, entrepreneurship, and community pride. Families, soccer fans, business owners, civic leaders, artists, cultural organizations, vendors, and residents gathered in the heart of South King County to experience a day designed to reflect the energy and diversity of the region.
For BECO, participating in the event was a natural extension of our commitment to creating stronger pathways for businesses and entrepreneurs to become visible, build relationships, and connect with new audiences.
A Full Day of Energy and Entertainment
The celebration began with a lively workout performance from Zumba Divas, who immediately set an upbeat and welcoming tone for the day.
Attendees were also treated to live performances from Seattle rock band Gwen and pop artist Angeli. DJ Oh Please kept the atmosphere energized throughout the event, providing music that carried the celebration from the opening activities through the conclusion of the day.
Alongside the match viewing, guests enjoyed food, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and the opportunity to gather with people from across the region. The result was an experience that felt both global and distinctly rooted in the communities of South King County.
Creating Visibility for Local Businesses
While the final match served as the centerpiece, the event was also an important business and community activation.
Local vendors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and cultural organizations were able to introduce their work to hundreds of attendees, build new relationships, and participate in a major regional gathering. The event created a space where commerce was integrated into the broader cultural experience rather than treated as a separate element.
This type of visibility matters. Small businesses often need more than information or technical assistance. They also need access to audiences, trusted networks, collaborative partners, and spaces where potential customers can experience their products and services directly.
By participating in events such as The Final Match Watch Party, BECO helps create those points of access while ensuring that Black-owned businesses and other historically underrepresented entrepreneurs remain part of the region’s larger economic opportunities.
South King County Deserves the Spotlight
The success of the event also reinforced an important message about South King County.
The region is home to entrepreneurs, artists, families, cultural leaders, and organizations representing communities from around the world. It is a place of economic activity, cultural influence, innovation, and tremendous potential.
The Final Match Watch Party provided an opportunity to showcase those strengths while creating an experience that was open, welcoming, and rooted in local participation. More than 400 people came together not only to watch a global sporting event, but also to support businesses, enjoy live performances, celebrate cultural diversity, and experience Federal Way as a regional destination.
