Power, Policy & Prosperity: The Black Caucus Panel at the 2025 BECO EXPO

On Saturday, May 31st, 2025, The Black Eco Chamber (BECO) will host a pivotal panel at its annual BECO EXPO titled “Power, Policy & Prosperity: How Government is Shaping Small Business.” Held at the prestigious Columbia Tower Club in Seattle, this engaging discussion will bring together influential members of the Washington State Black Caucus to address how public policy is influencing the growth and sustainability of small businesses, particularly in Black and underserved communities.

The panel will feature three trailblazing state legislators: Rep. Kristine Reeves (30th District), Chair of the WA State Black Caucus; Sen. T’wina Nobles (28th District), Majority Whip; and Rep. Chipalo Street (37th District), Vice Chair of the Majority Caucus. These leaders will share insight on recent legislative achievements, the intersection of policy and economic development, and how government initiatives can better support entrepreneurship and equitable access to capital.

The discussion will be moderated by Jesse Johnson, former state legislator and current Director of Outreach and Community Engagement for the Washington State Treasury. His leadership will help guide a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses in Washington.

This dynamic session begins at 11:00 AM as part of the full-day BECO EXPO, which runs from 9AM to 4PM. Attendees can expect impactful dialogue, real-time policy updates, and invaluable networking at one of Seattle’s most exclusive venues.
