BECO Members Invited to The Blueprint of a Legend

The relationships you build, the opportunities you pursue, and the lessons you learn along the way can shape the direction of your career. That holds true whether you’re building a business, advancing within an organization, or working in music and entertainment.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, The Artist Workshop presents The Blueprint of a Legend: Michael Jackson and the Creative Minds Who Shaped an Era at MoPOP in Seattle. BECO members are invited to a conversation with Steven Ray, entertainment executive and creative collaborator to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, moderated by BECO founder Shyan Selah, creative artist, entrepreneur, and advocate.

An Entertainment Perspective with Broader Business Relevance

The conversation draws from the world of music and entertainment, but you don’t have to work in a creative industry to find value in it. Building a professional network, developing meaningful relationships, and navigating career advancement are challenges that entrepreneurs and professionals face across industries.

Ray’s experiences offer a starting point for exploring how relationships develop over time, what career lessons can teach us, and how to approach new opportunities with greater intention. For BECO members, the value lies in connecting those experiences to their own professional goals.

Bring Your Own Ambitions to the Conversation

Whether you’re growing a company, considering your next career move, or expanding your network, hearing how someone else has navigated their professional journey can help you examine your own approach.

Who are you building relationships with? How are you maintaining those connections? What have your experiences taught you about being prepared when an opportunity arrives?

The Blueprint of a Legend invites attendees to consider these questions through an entertainment industry perspective while exploring the creative minds who helped shape an era.
