Brave New World and the Black Eco Chamber (BECO) are excited to announce the second annual BECO EXPO to take place on Saturday, May 31st, 2025. This event is all about celebrating and supporting small Black businesses and professionals in our community. At the BECO EXPO Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of vendor displays, showcasing local goods and services, enjoy live music, fine food, and so much more. BECO is all about raising the vibration of our community and causing it to THRIVE. Join us as we bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, community members, stakeholders, and innovating pioneers together all in the name of fostering deep connections and promoting economic growth for the Black community in our region.

We’re pleased to bring the BECO experience back to the Columbia Tower in Seattle as the premiere venue for our 2nd Annual BECO EXPO. Hosting this event at the Tower offers an unparalleled experience that combines sophistication, exclusivity, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, Puget Sound, and Mount Rainier. This premier private club provides a luxurious and modern setting ideal for high-profile networking, corporate gatherings, and, of course, our Expo, including state-of-the-art amenities, gourmet catering, and top-tier service.

MEET OUR SPECIAL KEYNOTE: OMAR GOODING
Actor and producer Omar Gooding is coming to the 2025 BECO EXPO! With a career spanning over three decades, Omar has grown from a teen star on Wild & Crazy Kids and Smart Guy to a seasoned actor, producer, rapper, and entrepreneur. His longevity in an ever-changing industry is a testament to his resilience, versatility, and ability to evolve.
At the EXPO, Omar will share hard-earned insights on staying relevant, building a multi-dimensional career, navigating the highs and lows of the spotlight—and business—with intention and grit, and why now is the time for Black creators and business owners to take the lead.
KEY PANELS AND 2025 EXPO FEATURES:

Former Washington State Representative Jesse Johnson, now with the Washington State Treasurer’s Office, will moderate an insightful panel featuring members of the Washington State Black Caucus at the 2nd Annual BECO EXPO. This dynamic discussion will explore key political issues affecting Black communities across the region, offering valuable perspectives on policy, advocacy, and progress. This session is a must-attend for those invested in the future of Black leadership and economic empowerment in Washington State.
The Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs Panel at the 2nd Annual BECO EXPO is designed to empower the next generation of leaders. Tailored for high school and college students—especially those in South King County’s Young Apprenticeship Program—this session will provide invaluable insights on resume building, interview skills, entrepreneurship, and career development. Featuring a dynamic lineup of young professionals and business owners, this panel offers real-world advice and networking opportunities to help students launch their careers with confidence.

BECO is pleased to present our first Crypto & Fintech Panel at the 2nd Annual BECO EXPO. This session will dive into the latest trends in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and financial innovation, exploring how these tools are shaping the future of wealth-building and economic empowerment. This program will be an engaging segment for both seasoned investors and those just starting to explore fintech, providing key insights and strategies to navigate the evolving digital finance landscape.

The 2nd Annual BECO EXPO will feature an exclusive screening of Sweetwater, the inspiring film about Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, the first Black professional basketball player to play in the NBA. The Shyan Selah Foundation’s The Artist Workshop, in conjunction with the Columbia Tower Club’s Arts Committee presents this powerful cinematic experience highlights a groundbreaking moment in sports history and Black excellence. The screening will be followed by a thought-provoking discussion on legacy, perseverance, and the impact of Black athletes in American history. Directed by Martin Guigui and starring Everett Osborne, Jeremy Piven and James Caan amongst others.
